The occupants intensified their assaults and started using equipment in the Toretsk, Kramatorsk and Siversk directions. In Toretsk, 11 assaults took place overnight, and the fight is on for every house.
The Russians began using equipment in all three directions: Toretsk, Kramatorsk, and Siversk, and intensified their assaults. The Ukrainian military is preparing for even greater enemy activity in these areas. This was reported by Anastasia Bobovnikova, a spokeswoman for the Luhansk regional military unit, during a telethon, UNN reports.
"The enemy is advancing in all directions - Toretsk, Kramatorsk, and Siversk. They are advancing with equipment, which used to be a very rare occurrence. Literally only in the Siverskyi sector they used equipment, but now they have intensified their assaults in all three sectors and are very active in these areas," said Bobovnikova.
According to her, the Defense Forces are increasing their vigilance.
"First of all, we are using UAVs. We are reinforcing our front line, where possible and if possible we are also pulling up reserves, reinforcing ourselves. We are preparing for even greater enemy activation in these areas," Bobovnikova said.
She also said that the situation in Toretsk is the most difficult, as the enemy has conducted 11 attacks since the beginning of the day and some of them are still ongoing.
"In fact, the situation here is very tense. We are fighting for every house, and we need to understand that they can advance by one house and literally the next day we will retake this house. On the northern outskirts of Toretsk, in the village of Nelipivka, the enemy is starting to use equipment. Over the past day, there were battles with the use of armored combat vehicles, buggies and motorcycles. We did not observe this before, but now the enemy has become more active," said Bobovnikova.
According to her, the enemy also started using equipment near Chasnyi Yar.
"Here, as well as in Toretsk, it is very difficult to use armored combat vehicles and tanks. This is because they are not as effective in urban areas and are difficult to maneuver, so they are usually not used. However, for several days in a row we have been observing a situation where a tank moves out in front of Chasovyi Yar, fires from a closed position and returns," Bobovnikova said.
