Record heat will continue: a weather forecaster told when to expect a drop in temperature

The peak of extreme heat in the capital falls on July 14-16

Some easing of the temperature regime in some regions is possible on July 18-20. However, the heat does not plan to retreat yet. This was told by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, UNN reports.

The forecaster emphasized that the heat wave would be prolonged.

"In the coming days, Ukraine is indeed expected to experience a peak of extreme heat, up to +35+40 and above.

No rain, scorching sun, high fire danger, and possible small-scale tornadoes.

Some relief, a decrease in air temperature by a few degrees,  is possible in western, northern Ukraine and Vinnytsia region during July 18-20. The south, east, and most of the center will still be in the area of extreme heat. A slight decrease in the heat in the north may be followed by an increase again. Only in the western regions will the air be a few degrees more merciful to nature, people and animals," the forecaster said.

According to Didenko, the heat wave is expected to peak in Kyiv on July 14, 15 and 16. Up to +36+39 degrees. No precipitation.

"A slight easing is possible on July 18-20. However, in the future, the air temperature is likely to rise again in the capital," she added.

Rain is not expected. On July 15, the peak air temperature will reach and exceed +40 degrees.

"The air temperature in the western part will be a few degrees lower, expected to be +28+43 degrees. In the future, extreme heat will continue in the south, east and central regions (except for Vinnytsia). The heat will tentatively ease in these regions from July 26," the forecaster said.
