The dangerous product was found in one of the Spar supermarkets in the province of Burgenland in the east of the country. According to the police, the dangerous substance was found in a jar of HiPP brand carrot and potato puree after a customer complaint.
The product was seized, and laboratory analysis showed the presence of poison. At the same time, the manufacturer does not rule out third-party interference. The deliberate addition of a dangerous substance to the product is also not ruled out.
In addition to Austria, similar dangerous products were found in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
