The subway system in Kharkiv has resumed operation, which was suspended after massive enemy attacks that almost completely cut off the city's power supply. The resumption of the subway was announced this morning by the head of the city, Igor Terekhov, reports UNN.

"Our power engineers have done the seemingly unimaginable, and we have managed to launch the subway. The subway is running on all lines, with a 20-minute interval.

I thank all those involved, both power engineers and transport workers, for their excellent work!" Terekhov wrote on his Telegram channel.

On March 22, the enemy launched a massive attack on Kharkiv. According to Oleh Syniehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, the occupiers carried out more than 15 attacks on energy facilities. In addition to the power outage, the city experienced interruptions in water and heat supply, electric transport was stopped, and the SES 101 and 112 lines were down.

As of March 24, according to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov , almost all houses in Kharkiv have water supply, about 60% are connected to heating, and about 40% have electricity restored after the Russian attacks.

Massive blow to the energy system

On March 22, Ukrainian energy facilities in a number of regions came under massive Russian attack. In particular, hits were recorded in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytsky, Lviv, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
