Pentagon orders radar detection aircraft for Japan

The US Department of Defense has signed a $1.45 billion contract with Northrop Grumman for the supply of 9 E-2 Advanced Hawkeye aircraft. 5 aircraft are intended for Japan and 4 for the US Navy, with delivery scheduled for 2029.
The U.S. Department of Defense has signed a $1.45 billion contract with Northrop Grumman to supply nine E-2 Advanced Hawkeye radar detection aircraft. Five aircraft are intended for Japan and four for the U.S. Navy. This is stated on the Pentagon's website, reports UNN.
Details
Delivery is scheduled for 2029. The contract includes additional maintenance. The aircraft will be manufactured in Indiana, California, New York and Florida.
