In the capital, a city-wide clean-up day was held as part of Environment Day, with over 7,000 participants. The clean-up took place at approximately 40 locations in all districts of the city. This was reported by the Kyiv City State Administration, writes UNN.

According to the city authorities, employees of utility companies, representatives of public organizations, businesses, residents of the capital, as well as representatives of the "Veteran Corps" of the Third Army Corps joined the event.

During the clean-up, 3352 cubic meters of garbage were collected. 271 units of equipment were involved in its removal.

In addition, 947 saplings of trees, bushes, and flowers were planted in parks, squares, residential areas, and on territories after the dismantling of temporary structures.

Event organization

Utility services provided participants with inventory, including gloves, garbage bags, and planting material. The work was carried out in compliance with safety requirements and the conditions of martial law.

The clean-up took place as part of the spring two-month beautification campaign, which will last in Kyiv until May 15.
