Nvidia is creating a platform for humanoid robots together with partners from the US and China. The new Blackwell chips guarantee cybersecurity and data protection.

Nvidia plans to expand its cooperation with humanoid robot manufacturers from the US, Europe, and South Korea, while simultaneously continuing its partnership with the Chinese company Unitree. In this way, the corporation aims to create standardized robotic platforms for scientific research. This was reported by Reuters, according to UNN.
Following Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's speech at the Computex exhibition in Taiwan, the company announced a collaboration with China's Unitree, one of the leading manufacturers of humanoid robots. As part of the project, Unitree will supply H2 robot bodies, Singapore-based Sharpa will provide robotic arms, and Nvidia will supply the computing systems.
The new robots are expected to be used by researchers from Stanford University and the University of California, San Diego.
At the same time, criticism is mounting in the US regarding the cooperation with Unitree. American lawmakers point to potential links between the company and the Chinese government and military structures. Consequently, a bill has already been proposed in Congress that could ban the use of Unitree robots in institutions funded by the US government.
According to Reuters, Nvidia plans similar partnerships with companies from the US, Europe, and South Korea, though the names of future partners have not yet been disclosed.
The company explained that the cooperation with Unitree also aims to strengthen the cybersecurity of the robots. Specifically, all software updates will pass through Nvidia chips, where their authenticity and security will be verified.
Nvidia states that the integration of Blackwell chips will enable the use of secure boot and confidential computing technologies, which are designed to protect robots from running malicious code and unauthorized data leaks.
