Ministry of Defense named conditions for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to switch to summer uniform

The transition to summer uniform depends on the weather and command orders. The set includes a cap, combat shirts, and special summer footwear.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine explained when servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations switch to summer uniforms. They clarified that in this matter, Ukrainian troops are not tied to specific dates, although the change of uniform is regulated by statutory documents. This was reported by UNN with reference to the press service of the department.

The Ministry of Defense noted: there are no clearly defined calendar terms for this. The transition to the summer version of the military uniform depends on weather conditions and temperature.
Military personnel change their uniforms by order of:
- garrison commander;
- senior naval commander;
- on behalf of the commanders of branches and types of troops.
According to the norms for providing material property approved in 2016, the summer set of field military uniforms may include:
- field cap (combat cap) or summer field panama;
- summer field suit;
- polo shirt;
- short-sleeved T-shirt;
- combat shirt;
- summer (trekking) socks;
- summer boots or half-boots;
- trouser belt;
- wind and waterproof suit (during precipitation or wind);
- summer tube scarf.
In windy weather, it is allowed to wear only the jacket of the wind and waterproof demi-season suit. During precipitation of low and medium intensity - the suit or only the jacket of the suit over the summer field suit. The summer military uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine provides maximum comfort in hot conditions. Its elements are made of light, breathable fabrics that promote good ventilation and moisture wicking. For example, the T-shirt has moisture-absorbing and quick-drying properties. And the summer field suit has reinforced zones on the elbows, knees and shoulders, which increases resistance to mechanical damage
