Ukraine's energy system is stable, says Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko
In Ukraine, the situation in the energy system is stable. The only dramatic impact on the system may be in case of successful Russian attacks. This was stated by the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko in an interview with the Rada TV channel, according to a correspondent of UNN.
It is precisely thanks to air defense that we can say that the work was so successful that it is difficult to say for sure where they were trying to hit, but I do not exclude that energy facilities were one of the targets
He noted that the power system is stable.
"Unfortunately, there is shelling, and we are losing some generation. First of all, we are talking about those areas of the frontline where fighting is taking place or near such areas, unfortunately, there is constant shelling of energy facilities," Galushchenko said.
In addition, he noted that the level of consumption increased significantly in winter, and the Ministry of Energy is communicating with citizens that they need to be economical with electricity consumption, as this will help the system to operate.
In fact, everything is stable. We keep the system absolutely stable. The only dramatic impact on the system can only be in the event of Russian attacks, and then only if they are successful
