Minister: Border guards check 58 thousand people in search of Farion's killer

The Minister of Internal Affairs announced a large-scale check at the border to find a suspect in the murder of Irina Farion. The 18-year-old from Dnipro had been preparing for the crime for at least 2 months.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko said that border guards checked about 58,000 people who wanted to leave Ukraine, exactly the same age as the suspect in the murder of Irina Farion. He said this during a telethon, UNN reports.

"Border guards were involved in the interception, checking about 58,000 people who wanted to leave our country, exactly the same age as the suspect," Klymenko said.
He confirmed that the boy is indeed a native of Dnipro and is 18 years old. Right now he is in police custody and all investigative work is underway.
"We tracked his intelligence, his movement, his movements, how he changed clothes, changed his gait and routes. He changed his place of residence at least three times... Panama, where the suspect was staying during the murder of Iryna Farion, he bought back in May 2024. At least he had been preparing for this for 2 months," Klymenko added.
