The next informal meeting of EU heads of state will take place on April 23-24 in Cyprus. A meeting of EU heads of state and government is scheduled for June 18 - Viktor Orbán may be invited there before his resignation.

The President of the European Council, António Costa, on Tuesday published an invitation to the next meeting of the body, which includes the heads of state and government of EU countries. The informal meeting will take place in Cyprus on April 23-24. This is reported by UNN with reference to telex.hu.

According to preliminary data, the participants will discuss the "complex geopolitical situation" and the next EU budget. However, it is currently unclear whether it will be an in-person meeting or a video conference - there have been examples of both options before.
In addition, the next meeting of EU heads of state and government is scheduled for June 18, significantly later than the possible last constituent session of the Hungarian parliament. Viktor Orbán is expected to be invited to this event before he "retires."
An extraordinary summit can be convened at any time, but if everything goes according to current plans, this will be the last meeting of the European Council for Orbán before he resigns
