It is noted that ministers and officials responsible for security issues will gather at the meeting, following US President Donald Trump's threat on Tuesday to destroy "an entire civilization" after the expiration of his ultimatum, and Iran's statement that it is "ready for all scenarios."

This is the second meeting of the National Defense and Security Council that Macron has convened since the start of the Israel-US war against Iran. The last one took place on March 10. After it, France sent its warships to the eastern Mediterranean, which are carrying out a "purely defensive" mission to open navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

Meanwhile, Spain urgently calls on citizens in Qatar to stock up on food, water, and medicine for several days.
