Macron announced a shift in the balance of power and Russia's retreat. The G7 will increase air defense supplies and allow Ukraine to independently produce part of the equipment.
French President Emmanuel Macron noted that the "balance of power has changed dramatically in recent months" as "Ukraine is advancing and resisting; Russia is retreating," UNN reports, citing the Guardian.

Macron noted that the G7 leaders held an "in-depth" discussion on the situation in Ukraine, which allowed them to "find important points of convergence."
He emphasized their "unwavering support for Ukraine" and noted that the "balance of power has changed dramatically in recent months" as "Ukraine is advancing and resisting; Russia is retreating."
He said the leaders agreed to increase the supply of funds and air defense systems to further assist Ukraine.
He also stated that the leaders supported Ukraine's request for licensing agreements so that it could independently produce some of this equipment.
