As indicated by franceinfo, late in the evening, in a "joyful and friendly moment," according to those present, Emmanuel Macron was invited by jazz pianist Vahagn Hayrapetyan, who was at the piano. Immediately, Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan, standing, played a few notes, quickly joined by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on the drums.
A few minutes later, the improvised orchestra reportedly briefly played Yves Montand's Les feuilles mortes.
Guests present at the dinner watched and applauded as the leaders took part in this "musical moment," Euronews notes.
The performance took place during Macron's state visit to Armenia and included a song closely associated with the country due to Aznavour's Armenian heritage.
