Law enforcement officers have targeted "star" plastic surgeon Serhiy Derbak for tax evasion

The Lita Plus clinic is suspected of evading 100 million UAH in taxes through a scheme involving individual entrepreneurs (FOPs). During the searches, over 18 million UAH in cash and vehicles were seized.
The largest plastic surgery clinic in Ukraine evaded 11.2 million UAH in taxes. As UNN managed to find out, this refers to Serhiy Derbak's Lita Plus.
The Lita Plus clinic positions itself as the largest center for plastic and aesthetic medicine in Ukraine: over 18,000 operations, a school for surgeons, and international standards. After the start of the full-scale invasion, the clinic relocated from Kyiv to Zakarpattia.
At the same time, as law enforcement established, the clinic resorted to business fragmentation.
"According to the investigation, officials of the medical facility may have organized a scheme to minimize tax payments through related companies and individual entrepreneurs (FOPs), among whom the clinic's actual income was distributed.
Despite unified management, personnel, resources, and financial flows, the medical center's activities were formally registered under several business entities. This likely allowed them to avoid reflecting the full volume of the main enterprise's income in reporting," the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
According to UNN information, instead of one company, five limited liability companies (which, according to open-source data, are managed by his wife, Mariia Derbak) and two individual entrepreneurs are functioning.
"According to preliminary data, from January 2024 to April 2026, the medical center's real income could have amounted to about 7.2 million in foreign currency and over 141 million UAH. The total turnover, according to investigators' estimates, exceeds 520 million UAH, and the amount of unpaid taxes could reach about 100 million UAH," the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
Criminal proceedings are being carried out under Part 3 of Art. 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (tax evasion).
During the investigative actions, cars, financial documents, rough notes, and over 18.4 million UAH in cash in various currencies were seized. The origin of the funds is being established. Separately, a legal assessment will be provided regarding possible signs of money laundering of proceeds obtained through crime.
Serhiy Derbak is among the top plastic surgeons in Ukraine. TV presenter Andriy Dzhedzhula claimed to have used his services, and Derbak himself mentioned that he performed a lip augmentation procedure for the singer Ruslana. Politicians and bloggers with millions of followers are also named among his clients.
Serhiy Derbak gained widespread popularity as a leading expert and surgeon for the popular television medical project "I am Ashamed of My Body" on the STB channel. Within the framework of this show, he performed complex plastic and reconstructive surgeries for ordinary people who had severe congenital or acquired physical defects. All these patients and the stages of their treatment were openly shown during the program's broadcast.
