Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that the United States allegedly failed to fulfill the agreements to end the war in Ukraine, which, according to him, were reached during the meeting between Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump in Anchorage. Lavrov's statement came in response to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who earlier said that the settlement options discussed during the negotiations in Alaska had "failed."
