During air alarms, public transport in Kiev stops according to the recommendations of the military, the same applies to traffic over some bridges. This was stated by the mayor of the capital Vitali Klitschko in a comment to "Suspilne", reports UNN.

This decision was made by the Defense Council of the city of Kiev on the recommendation of the military for the safety of people's lives. in the south of the country, there have already been "arrivals" in public transport. As for bridges, these are requirements exclusively for the military," Klitschko said.

The Kyiv City Council rejected a petition to allow traffic from the left to the right bank during the alarm. The decision to restrict traffic is made exclusively by the Kiev Defense Command and can be changed only on the recommendation of the State Emergency Service.
