Iran and Oman continue negotiations after a meeting in Tehran on restoring navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. Success would allow Iran and the US to resume talks on ending the war.
Negotiators from Iran and Oman are trying to reach an agreement to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. This is reported by Bloomberg, citing unnamed sources familiar with the matter, informs UNN.

It is noted that Iran and Oman, whose territories border the strait, continue negotiations after a meeting of their officials in Tehran last weekend. According to sources, success in the negotiations will allow the Islamic Republic and the United States to resume talks on ending the war.
One of the proposals is to reopen the so-called middle passage of the strait. ... Ships have mostly avoided this since the start of the conflict in late February, choosing either the northern route near Iran's coast or the southern route, which passes near the Omani exclave of Musandam
It is indicated that Omani negotiators are optimistic, however, there is no guarantee that an agreement will be reached.
