Russia has handed over 1,200 new history textbooks and banners with occupation symbols to schools in Kherson region. This is part of an effort to impose a Russian version of history and change the identity of Ukrainian children.
In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russian invaders plan to provide schoolchildren with their own textbooks to study the Russian language and "correct" history. This was reported by the Center of National Resistance, UNN reports .

For example, Kabardino-Balkaria will give Kherson region 1200 new textbooks. In particular, the textbooks include such topics as the history of Russia from 1914 to 1945, 1945 - the beginning of the 21st century, and World History. The donation will also include banners with occupation symbols to decorate school premises.
The Resistance emphasizes that this is part of the occupation administration's efforts to impose its version of history and culture in Ukrainian schools under temporary occupation. In this way, the Russians continue their deliberate policy of changing the identification of Ukrainian children, which falls under the definition of genocide.
