The Ukrainian temporarily occupied territories have become the scene of new political repression by the russian authorities. According to the Kremlin's latest instructions, among the heads of departments of the occupation administration and heads of educational institutions, preference is given to ethnic russians, considering Ukrainians to be potential traitors.
The Federal Security Service has already begun thorough checks on the families of traitors, including determining the number of relatives, their degree of closeness and attitude to ties with Ukrainians and other citizens of a free Ukraine. Each collaborator will receive a "loyalty rating" that will determine their future promotion and support from the occupation authorities.
This strategy is clearly aimed at russifying the territories and minimizing their ties with Ukraine.
