In Odesa region, border guards detained a couple who tried to smuggle seven men of military age across the border. For their services, the couple received money from the passengers and the organizer of the scheme.
In Odesa region, border guards exposed a couple who tried to illegally transport seven men of military age across the border in two cars. This was reported by the Southern Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, UNN reports.

According to law enforcement, the husband and wife followed the organizer's instructions. He provided them with instructions and a route to Moldova through the Transnistrian segment. For their help, the couple received $200 from each passenger and 10 thousand hryvnias from the organizer.
"In the case of a successful transfer, all the 'clients' had to pay from 80 to 120 thousand hryvnias to the administrator of the telegram channel. However, on the outskirts of the city of Balta, Podil district, all participants in the illegal trip were detained by border guards," the statement said.
The drivers were reported to the National Police on the grounds of a criminal offense under Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Administrative reports under Part 2 of Article 204-1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses were drawn up against the "passengers" and the cases were sent to court.
