In May of this year, Ukraine liberated over 100 km² more than the Russians were able to capture. This was stated by Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov during a press conference after the 35th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the "Ramstein" format, reports UNN.

As the minister noted, the past month was a record in recent years in terms of the territories that the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to liberate.

"We were able to liberate 100 km² more territory than the enemy managed to capture. We also increased the number of enemies destroyed per square kilometer. Today we presented all these results during the meeting in the 'Ramstein' format,"

The head of the Ministry of Defense added that the meeting was held under the slogan "Window of Opportunity."

"Ukraine sees this window in the coming months and is working to create new opportunities to force the Russians to a just peace,"

Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that the aid announced at "Ramstein" will arrive soon, and other packages - within months. He also noted that Ukraine needs anti-ballistic defense to protect Ukrainian cities from Russian shelling.
