This morning, a Nissan LEAF electric car caught fire near the "Olimpiyska" metro station. Eyewitnesses detained a man suspected of arson, rumors of an explosion were refuted.

After a fire involving an electric car near the "Olimpiyska" metro station in Kyiv, a suspect was detained for setting the car on fire, according to the GUNP in Kyiv on Monday, writes UNN.

"Today, around 10:00 a.m., the police received information from passersby that an electric car was on fire near the Olimpiyska metro station," the police said.
A burning car was found at the scene.
"In addition, citizens who were at the scene detained a man who is probably involved in setting it on fire," the police said.
Currently, the fire has been extinguished by the SES units, police officers are working at the scene, and all circumstances are being clarified.
