Details

Some of the Ukrainian pilots are reportedly currently at an air base in southwestern France to learn the basics of air combat.

France is not yet providing Ukraine with F-16 fighter jets, but it is actively involved in the training of ten Ukrainian pilots selected by the General Staff.

These pilots are all men between the ages of 20 and 22. Six of them are currently receiving training in the United Kingdom to master English, the primary language for NATO pilots. However, the other four pilots already speak English and have experience flying civilian or training aircraft. Therefore, they are now focusing on improving their skills at an air base in France, where they are enriching their experience in air combat.
