Home for the first time in five years: WhiteBIT organizes Q&A with National Team players
Kyiv • UNN
The national team has begun its training camp in Lviv under the leadership of Andrea Maldera. WhiteBIT is organizing a Q&A session and a prize giveaway for fans.

For the first time since the start of the full-scale invasion, the national team is gathering for a training camp at home, in Lviv. The National Team's title crypto partner, the WhiteBIT crypto exchange, has timed an open Q&A session with the players to coincide with this event — giving every fan a chance to ask the team questions directly, UNN reports.
First training camp at home
Five years without a training camp in the homeland. Training at foreign bases, matches abroad — such has been the reality for the national team since the start of the invasion. This camp in Lviv marks the team's first return home in all this time. It also coincides with a new appointment: Andrea Maldera has become the head coach — the first foreigner to lead the national team, having served as Andriy Shevchenko's assistant for five years and knowing the team from the inside.
Three years alongside the team
WhiteBIT is building a full-fledged digital fan ecosystem around the national team, where blockchain technologies become a tool for real interaction between the team and its fans — rather than just a payment method.
The partnership began in 2023 and has deepened with each season. WhiteBIT and the national team were the first in Europe to implement football match ticket sales via cryptocurrency. Today, about 10% of all tickets are purchased with crypto, and a special pre-sale exclusively for crypto-asset holders allows them to choose the best seats several days before the official start of sales.
In August 2025, WhiteBIT launched the Digital Fanzone of the Ukraine national football team — a permanent digital platform where fans from anywhere in the world can buy tickets with crypto, participate in merch and crypto giveaways, and gain access to exclusive activities. In January 2026, the company upgraded its status to title crypto partner — the WhiteBIT logo appeared on the national team's training kit. And in March 2026, at the decisive match in Valencia, the company created the world's first Crypto Stand — a dedicated space at the Estadio Ciutat de València where national colors met Web3 technologies. The activation reached over 2.9 million contacts.
Therefore, the Q&A session during the first home training camp is another act of support and unity for the national team and its fans.
"Modern sport is no longer just about the stadium and the broadcast. It's about digital communities where fans interact with the team in new formats. At WhiteBIT, we are convinced: blockchain and Web3 technologies can fundamentally change the relationship model between athletes and fans — making them stronger, closer, and more authentic. Every fan, wherever they are, should feel like part of the team", — Volodymyr Nosov, CEO of WhiteBIT.
