Head of the State Tax Service Kravchenko shared the results of the fight against shadow markets

Ruslan Kravchenko reported on the State Tax Service's measures to de-shadow markets. Since the beginning of the year, inspections have been carried out and fines worth millions of hryvnias have been imposed in the fields of electronics, tobacco and food.
The Head of the State Tax Service, Ruslan Kravchenko, said that the tax service has already done since the beginning of the year to combat shadow markets in three sectors of the economy: consumer electronics, tobacco products and public catering, UNN reports.
Today I had a meeting with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine and some of its members. These are 11 companies from various fields. Kravchenko noted that they have a common vision for combating the "shadow".
Because it's not just about fair competition and equal working conditions for everyone. It is about protecting the interests of consumers and revenues to the state budget

Consumer electronics market
Since the beginning of the year, more than 800 tax control measures have been carried out in a number of well-known networks that sell electronics of well-known brands. Another 200 are in the process, most of them with a timing of revenue
Kravchenko noted that, according to their results, penalties of UAH 90.5 million have already been applied.
We identify schemes that have signs of VAT evasion. The documents have been transferred to law enforcement agencies
Trade in tobacco products
Kravchenko said that in January-February, the departments of control over excise goods conducted almost 2.3 thousand inspections in the field of production and circulation of tobacco products. Violations of legislation were detected, financial sanctions amounted to UAH 30.77 million.
In addition, Kravchenko noted that as a result of the inspections, 312 licenses were terminated, 167 of them due to the absence at the place of business. In cooperation with law enforcement officers, tobacco products worth UAH 3.77 million were seized from illegal circulation.
Public catering market
Here, too, we find many violations, in particular, the order of settlements, accounting of commodity stocks, undeclared labor. This year, almost 1,000 inspections have already been carried out, and fines have exceeded UAH 13 million
He stressed that systematic exposure of schemes is what ensures a real fight against the shadow. And the task of the State Tax Service is to show that the rules are the same for everyone.
