Since the beginning of the day, 51 combat engagements have been recorded at the front. The enemy carried out the most attacks in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions.
Half of the 51 battles on the front since the beginning of today took place in two directions - Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka, the General Staff of the AFU reported in a summary as of 4 p.m. on May 2, UNN reports.
Since the beginning of the day, the number of aggressor attacks stands at 51
The aggressor is shelling border areas. Today, in the Sumy region, the areas of the following settlements were affected: Sopych, Korenok, Bezsalivka, Tovstodubove, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Volfyne, Neskuchne, Hirky, Chervonyi Pakhar, Budky, Havrylova Sloboda, Prohres; Khrinivka, Dibrova, Berylivka – in the Chernihiv region. Vilna Sloboda, Kysla Dubyna, and Pustohorod were hit by airstrikes.
Situation by directions
In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy carried out 62 shellings of settlements and positions of our troops. One assault action by the enemy was recorded.
In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy tried to improve its position four times in the areas of Lyman, Starytsia, Izbytske, and Okhrimivka. One of these attempts is ongoing.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy did not conduct active operations.
In the Lyman direction, the adversary conducted assault operations three times toward Drobysheve.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy conducted assault operations once toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked twice toward Malynivka and Bondarne.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, the invaders carried out nine attacks toward the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. One of these attempts to advance is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers have tried 18 times to push our soldiers from their positions toward the settlements of Bilytske, Nove Shakhove, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Muravka, Molodetske, Novopidhorodnie, and Novopavlivka. One of these attacks is still ongoing.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked twice toward the settlements of Oleksandrohrad and Zlahoda.
In the Huiaipole direction, eight attacks took place toward the positions of our defenders in the areas of Dobropillia, Zaliznychne, Sviatopetrivka, Staroukrainka, and Charivne.
In the Orikhiv direction, the adversary attacked once toward Stepnohirsk and launched airstrikes in the areas of Omelnyk, Orikhiv, Yurkivka, Tavriiske, and Komyshuvakha.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the adversary conducted two assault operations in the Antonivka area.
"In other directions, there are currently no significant changes in the situation. No enemy attempts to advance have been recorded," the General Staff stated.
