According to the Head of State, the Ukrainian side is closely monitoring all actions near the border.

"Yesterday, there was quite specific activity on sections of the border between Ukraine and Belarus - from the Belarusian side. We are carefully recording everything, controlling everything, and if necessary, we will react,"

Zelenskyy noted.

He emphasized that Ukraine is ready to defend its sovereignty and citizens.

New sanctions and expectations from negotiations

The President also announced the preparation of new sanction decisions.

"We are preparing new sanction decisions — several sanction packages — for today and for the near future,"

he said.

In addition, Ukraine continues to work with international partners to strengthen air defense and economic resilience.

"We continue our work with partners - in Europe, the Middle East, the Gulf, and other parts of the world - with everyone capable of strengthening Ukrainian air defense and providing Ukraine with more economic power. We expect significant results from the negotiations in May,"

the President added.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the NSDC of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, noted that the situation on the border is controlled.

"Regarding Belarus — all their actions in the border area are being recorded; as of now, only minor provocations are possible from that side, which will cost the Belarusian side more dearly. Nothing more,"

he reported.
