General Staff updates map: 217 battles, most in the Sloviansk direction

Over the past day, 217 combat engagements occurred on the front, most in the Sloviansk direction. The enemy carried out 78 airstrikes and used over 10,000 drones.
217 battles occurred on the front over the past day, more than a quarter in just two directions, with the most in the Sloviansk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning update on July 21, showing a map of hostilities, UNN writes.
In total, 217 combat engagements were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched two missile strikes using two missiles and 78 airstrikes, during which it dropped 254 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders used 10,408 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,346 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, including 38 from multiple launch rocket systems.
Over the past day, aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck three areas of concentration of enemy personnel, five artillery systems and two control points of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Situation by directions
In the North-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions over the past day, our defenders stopped one enemy assault. At the same time, the aggressor carried out two airstrikes using seven guided aerial bombs and conducted 50 shellings of our troops' positions and populated areas, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South-Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian units repelled seven enemy attacks. The invaders tried to advance in the area of Starytsia, as well as in the directions of Tsehelne, Vovchansk Khutory, Izbystske and Kolodiazhne.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the directions of Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka and Kurylivka.
Attempts to penetrate our defense were repelled in the Lyman direction, where the occupiers attacked fifteen times in the areas of Lyman, Stavky and Ozerne, as well as in the directions of Shiikivka, Drobysheve and Novoselivka.
In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy carried out 30 assault actions in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakitne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Kalenyky and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers attacked six times in the directions of Fedorivka Druha, Nykyforivka, Yurkivka and Vasiutynske.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, fourteen attacks were recorded. The occupiers conducted assault actions in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia and Illinivka, as well as in the direction of Rusynyi Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, our defenders stopped 29 attacks. The enemy showed activity in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Bilytske and Serhiivka, and also carried out assaults in the directions of Shevchenko, Novyi Shakhove, Vilne, Toretske, Sofiivka, Kucherovyi Yar, Myrne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne and Novopavlivka.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, the invaders carried out four attacks in the directions of the populated areas of Vorone, Oleksandrohrad and Terneve.
In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers attacked 14 times. The enemy tried to advance in the directions of Verkhnia Tersa, Vozdvyzhivka, Tsvitkove, Kosivtseve and Hirke.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance forward in the directions of Mali Shcherbaky and Bilohiria.
In the Dnipro direction, the enemy did not conduct assault actions over the past day.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
