The former head of the OP arrived at the HACC for the hearing of an appeal against his pretrial restriction. He is suspected of laundering 460 million UAH during construction projects.

Former Head of the Office of the President Yermak arrived at court for the appeal hearing in his case

The former head of the Office of the President, Andriy Yermak, has arrived at the court where the HACC is set to consider an appeal in his case, as evidenced by videos from the scene circulating online, UNN reports. 

The court hearing was scheduled for Thursday, May 21. This concerns the consideration of an appeal filed by the defense against the ruling of the HACC investigative judge dated May 14, 2026, which applied a preventive measure to the former head of the OP.

As a reminder

Yermak is a suspect in a case involving the legalization of 460 million UAH in an elite construction project near Kyiv.    

On May 14, 2026, a HACC judge ordered detention for the former head of the OP, Yermak, with the possibility of 140 million UAH bail. SAPO prosecutors had requested the amount be set at 180 million hryvnias.  

On May 18, the HACC confirmed that 140 million UAH in bail had been posted for Yermak. Fundraising for his release began on May 15. 

Yermak was released on bail, and his defense filed an appeal.
