It is noted that a house for refugees, which had a capacity of up to 380 people, burned down, but in fact 301 people lived there. Given the location, the fire was visible for several kilometers.
According to the fire department, the residents were able to leave the workshop where the fire occurred in time.
I am extremely glad that no one was injured in the fire. ... The security guards acted quickly and prudently, led everyone to safety and thus saved lives. The emergency services arrived quickly and extinguished the fire.
A fire service spokesman said that no one was seriously injured. However, the police noted that there were several people with suspected smoke poisoning.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
Residents of the burned hall have already been provided with alternative housing. This was reported to journalists by the LAF spokesperson . About 4500 people are currently living in the building, which was designed for 7000 people. Therefore, there is enough space in the camp.
