Explosions and air defense activity reported near three military airfields in Crimea

Explosions were recorded near the Belbek, Kacha, and Saky airfields in Crimea. Russian air defense opened fire, though no official air raid alert was issued in Sevastopol.

In the temporarily occupied Crimea, explosions were heard and Russian air defense was active near the military airfields "Belbek," "Kacha," and "Saky" on Wednesday night. This was reported by the Telegram channel "Crimean Wind" with reference to subscribers, according to UNN.

According to the channel, explosions were heard in the area of Cape Fiolent in Sevastopol, and Russian air defense opened fire near the "Belbek" airfield. There were also reports of tracer ammunition fire at the "Kacha" airfield and a powerful explosion near the "Saky" airfield in Novofedorivka.

Subscribers of the channel also reported gunfire and an explosion in the center of Sevastopol. At the same time, an air raid alert was not officially declared in the city. According to eyewitnesses, searchlights were turned on at the "Kacha" airfield and fire was opened in various directions.
The ATESH partisan movement has previously repeatedly stated the activity of Ukrainian drones and strikes on Russian military infrastructure in Crimea. There is currently no official confirmation of the consequences of the night attack from the Russian authorities.
