Estonia reinforces border with Russia with first stationary drone detectors

The first stationary drone monitoring systems have been installed in southeastern Estonia. The equipment will be deployed across all sections of the land border by the end of the year.
The first stationary drone detection and monitoring devices have been installed on three sections of the land border in southeastern Estonia, between the Luhamaa checkpoint and the junction of the Estonian, Latvian, and Russian borders. This is reported by err.ee, according to UNN.

It is noted that this year, such devices will be installed on the remaining sections of the country's land border.
The first devices have been installed and are operational. Recent drone incidents show that we have assessed risks very realistically when planning our capabilities and made decisions carefully. According to him, the Police and Border Guard Board is currently procuring monitoring equipment for the next sections, and construction and preparatory work are progressing according to plan or even ahead of schedule.
