Turkish President Erdogan called on Russia to find a peaceful solution to the war in Ukraine, suggesting that Turkey prepare the basis for a ceasefire agreement and a fair peaceful settlement that would satisfy both sides.

During a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Turkish leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again called on Moscow to peacefully resolve the war in Ukraine. This was reported by UNN with reference to Anadolu.

Details

President Erdogan said Turkey could prepare the groundwork for a ceasefire agreement and then peace between Russia and Ukraine. 

He is also confident that a fair settlement can be reached that will satisfy both parties.

Erdogan emphasized that first a ceasefire should be agreed upon, and then discussions on a peace agreement should begin.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed Israel's policy toward Palestine. In particular , Erdogan emphasized that Israel's attacks on Palestinian territory and Tel Aviv's threats against Lebanon threaten regional and global peace and stability.

According to him, the greatest damage to the countries of the region will be caused by the spread of the conflict.
