The online systems of "Ukrzaliznytsia" have undergone a large-scale cyberattack, as a result of which online ticket sales are temporarily unavailable. Passengers have to buy tickets exclusively at railway ticket offices, which caused large queues at the station in the capital, reports the correspondent of UNN.
Details
As the company reported earlier, in Kyiv the number of open ticket offices at railway stations has been doubled. In particular, there are currently 13 ticket offices operating at the Central Railway Station of the capital.
However, demand remains high, and queues continue to be very long.

In general, the total number of people wishing to buy a ticket at each ticket office is from 20 people, which causes great inconvenience to passengers and indicates that citizens have to wait in line for more than 15 minutes, which the company assured.

So waiting to buy a ticket is becoming increasingly difficult.

Addition
According to the expert on cybersecurity Kostyantyn Korsun, this is not the first attack by cybercriminals on Ukrzaliznytsia's services, but the company's management has not drawn any conclusions from this.
In his opinion, in order to avoid such situations in the future, it is necessary to introduce systemic changes, primarily to cooperate with professionals who can counter such attacks.
