Czech President Petr Pavel has approved 60 applications from citizens seeking to join the Ukrainian army. This was reported by Český rozhlas, according to UNN.

According to the president's spokesman, Philip Platosh, he received 181 such requests in total.
According to Platosch, all permits were issued after approval by the Czech ministries of defense, interior and foreign affairs.
According to Czech law, citizens wishing to serve in foreign armies, including Ukraine's, must first obtain permission from the head of state. Otherwise, they may face criminal liability.
It is also possible to apply for a permit retroactively.
