He warned that Putin's "desperate" situation could lead him to do "something risky" amid fears that Russia may be planning to spread the conflict in Ukraine further westward.
"A sick person with a weapon is still a person with a weapon. That is why we are spending so much money on defense, to convince Putin that any conflict with Poland will cost him even more than his criminal war with Ukraine," Sikorski concluded.
