In the city of Balashikha, Moscow region, Russia, a colonel of the Russian army, Damir Davydov—head of the missile and artillery ammunition supply department at the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Defense—was killed as a result of a car bombing. This was reported by Russian "media," according to UNN.

Davydov's death was also confirmed by the "Myrotvorets" website. According to Russian "media," an explosive device with a capacity of 500 grams of TNT equivalent was planted in the officer's car.

The explosion occurred at the exit of a neighborhood where high-ranking Russian military personnel and employees of the Russian Ministry of Defense reside.

At the same time, it was reported that the deceased was Lieutenant General Alexander Maximtsev, Chief of the Main Staff and First Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Federation.

According to the "Myrotvorets" website, Maximtsev is responsible for the strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces on military and civilian targets in Ukraine.

However, on the same "Myrotvorets" website, Maximtsev is not marked as deceased.
