Two men blew up a serviceman's car in Dnipro on the instructions of the Russian special services. They agreed to carry out the car bombing for a monetary reward. For committing the act of terrorism, the suspects face up to 12 years in prison.

In Dnipro, law enforcement officers have issued a notice of suspicion regarding a terrorist act. This concerns the bombing of a vehicle belonging to a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on May 7 in the Sobornyi district, UNN reports, citing the Office of the Prosecutor General.

Details

According to the investigation, two residents of the Samarivskyi district, aged 21 and 22, acted on the instructions of Russian special services.

They planted an improvised explosive device under the serviceman's car and set up video surveillance, which provided real-time video recording. Subsequently, a representative of the Russian special services remotely detonated the explosive device,

The investigation also established that the detained men agreed to carry out the car bombing for a monetary reward from the Russian special services. Physical evidence, including mobile phones, was seized from them.

The detained men have been notified of suspicion of committing a terrorist act (Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment from seven to twelve years, with or without confiscation of property.

The issue of selecting a preventive measure for the suspects in the form of detention without the right to bail is currently being decided.
