Currently, the BES employs only 1,060 people. The current law provides for a staff of 4000 people. That is, the Bureau is staffed by only 26.5%. This was announced by Acting Director of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine Serhiy Perhun at the Mind Entrepreneur Summit, according to a correspondent of UNN.

We have some problems with staffing. Currently, the BES employs only 1,060 people. This is despite the fact that the current law provides for a staff of 4000 people. That is, we are only 26.5% staffed

Perhun reportedthat in 2023, the BES detectives recovered UAH 544 million to the budget. Over UAH 1 billion has been recovered in the first three months of this year. These are criminal proceedings for tax evasion.
