Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Prime Minister of Belgium to discuss military support. The first F-16 fighter jets will arrive in Ukraine as early as this year.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Wever, during which the parties discussed strengthening defense support for Ukraine, the supply of F-16 fighter jets, and further pressure on Russia. The Head of State reported this on social media, according to UNN.

According to Zelenskyy, Belgium is preparing a new military aid package for Ukraine.
"With the Prime Minister of Belgium Bart De Wever, we discussed support for our defense in detail. Belgium is preparing a new significant aid package and a contribution to the PURL program," the President reported.
The parties paid special attention to the supply of F-16 fighter jets for the Ukrainian Air Force.
"We also discussed the delivery schedule for the F-16 fighter jets. The first arrivals will be as early as this year. This kind of assistance with sky protection is what is needed most right now," Zelenskyy emphasized.
The President also informed the Belgian Prime Minister about the results of the meetings at the G7 summit and Ukraine's diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the war.
"I informed the Prime Minister about our meetings and agreements at the G7 summit, as well as our diplomatic contacts to end this Russian war. It is truly important that the pressure on the aggressor continues to increase," the Head of State noted.
In addition, during the negotiations, the parties discussed Ukraine's further progress toward European Union membership.
"We also discussed Ukraine's European integration. I thank Belgium – the government and the entire people – for their support," Zelenskyy concluded.
