From the point of view of the Azerbaijani defense ministry, the dissemination of provocative information in Armenia is increasing, which leads to "aggravation of the situation" and "growth of aggressive rhetoric" against Azerbaijan and "preparation of terrorist attacks." "We warn that if the Armenian armed forces try to take any military action against Azerbaijan, they will be strongly resisted by the Azerbaijani army. We reiterate that the full responsibility for the tension and any possible attack will lie with Armenia and its allies," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry wrote.

The day before the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry made the announcement, Armenian Prime Minister Nikolas Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan of trying to find reasons to start a new, large-scale war.
Pashinyan emphasized that Armenia does not intend to claim any territory outside its internationally recognized borders, and it is important to clearly define the country's borders.
He expressed hope that Azerbaijan would also support this approach and take appropriate measures in this direction.
