"A Day with the Korols' Team" 2026: A new season of charity matches by Betking Foundation and Pavlo Zhurilo kicked off in Uzhhorod

The first charity football match of the social project "A Day with the Kings' Team" in 2026 took place at the "Avangard" stadium, the home arena of FC "Uzhhorod" in Zakarpattia.

The initiator of the project, which unites professional footballers and children in the format of joint matches, is the Betking Foundation and its founder Pavlo Zhurylo.

A space of equal opportunities

The sixth match of the project brought together professionals from FC "Uzhhorod" and 50 children aged 7 to 12 on one field: internally displaced persons from frontline regions and children of military personnel whose parents are defending Ukraine today.

A special atmosphere prevailed at "Avangard" even before the starting whistle. Footballers warmed up with the children without dividing into roles or teams. 

From the first minutes, the stadium erupted with emotions, excitement, and a lively reaction to every action. The format "50 children against 11 professionals" once again destroyed the usual hierarchy, turning the game into a space of equal opportunities, where there are no boundaries between a star and a beginner. The children boldly went into combinations, celebrated every goal, and played as if the fate of the tournament was being decided. For them, "A Day with the Kings' Team" became more than just football.

Pavlo Zhurylo, founder of the Betking Foundation, noted that the project helps children believe in themselves through interaction with professional athletes. 

"We create a space where a child can go out onto the same field with professional players. At this moment, the distance between 'I can' and 'I can't' disappears. What remains is the game, team support, and sincere emotions. This is what gives children a sense of confidence and inner strength for the future," emphasized Pavlo Zhurylo.

Celebration after the final whistle

After the final whistle, the celebration continued. Children talked to the footballers, got autographs, took photos, and shared their impressions. Everyone received gifts, but the main thing was the shared experience, support, and confidence that the children took away from this day.

FC "Uzhhorod" footballers proved that their role does not end with the match result. True impact is measured by children's smiles and the inspiration they took with them.

Good that scales

The "A Day with the Kings' Team" project by the Betking Foundation, during 2025–2026, has already united 300 children in Rivne, Oleksandriia, Irpin, Kyiv, and now — in Uzhhorod. Each event expands the geography and number of participants, maintaining the unchanging format of interaction between children and professional athletes.
