In the center of the Greek capital, an 89-year-old man wounded four people at a social security office and a court. The perpetrator, armed with a shotgun, was detained 210 kilometers from the capital.

In central Athens, police detained an 89-year-old man suspected of a shotgun shooting. At least four people were injured as a result of the incidents. This was reported by Associated Press, according to UNN.

According to police, the man opened fire in a social security office. As a result, an employee of the institution was wounded. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene provided medical assistance to the victim, but the shooter fled.
Local media released surveillance footage showing a man calmly crossing the street while holding an object resembling a short-barreled shotgun.
Later, the same man was suspected in another shooting at a courthouse in a different part of central Athens. Several people were injured in this incident. Television footage shows medics evacuating at least three victims to ambulances. Police also reported finding a shotgun.
The suspect was detained near the city of Patras, approximately 210 kilometers from the capital. Currently, law enforcement officers continue to investigate the circumstances of the incidents.
