20-year-old Ukrainian model found in serious condition in Dubai: the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told all the details

In Dubai, a 20-year-old Ukrainian model, Maria Kovalchuk, who was searched for a week by relatives and friends, was found injured, she is hospitalized and in serious condition. The Ukrainian consulate is in constant contact with the victim's relatives, her lawyer and representatives of the competent authorities of the UAE, and is keeping the case under control. This was reported to UNN journalist in the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On March 20, the Consulate of Ukraine in Dubai received a request from a citizen of Ukraine regarding the disappearance of her daughter and immediately began searching for her in cooperation with the local police. The consuls established that on March 12, the victim was admitted to one of the medical institutions in Dubai 

It is noted that the consulate staff visited the institution and found that the hospitalized citizen of Ukraine was injured and is in serious condition.

She receives the necessary medical care. During the investigation, the local police preliminarily established that the victim was injured, probably falling from a height at a prohibited construction site. Local law enforcement agencies have opened a criminal case and are investigating the case 

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted that the local authorities are providing full assistance to the injured party and are cooperating with the consuls.

Ukrainian consuls also agreed with the local authorities to support the mother of the affected citizen of Ukraine. The consulate is in constant contact with the victim's relatives, her lawyer and representatives of the competent authorities of the UAE, and is keeping the case under control 

Context

The Daily Mail reported that Ukrainian model Maria Kovalchuk, who went missing after a party earlier this month, was found on the side of a road in Dubai with horrific injuries.

Kovalchuk, who turned 20 this month, went missing for eight days after telling friends she had been invited to a hotel party on March 9.

According to several Ukrainian media outlets, she was supposed to attend the event "with two men who introduced themselves as representatives of the modeling business."

The model told her mother Anna that she would stay overnight with these representatives, but later disappeared.

Maria booked a flight to Thailand, which departed from Dubai on March 11, but Kovalchuk did not show up at the airport.

Maria's friend, Russian model Angelina Doroshenko, said that she was invited to the same party. However, the 31-year-old girl refused the invitation and returned to Russia a few days before that.

Then her mother and concerned friends contacted the local authorities, who launched a search for Maria and began an investigation.

On March 19, ten days after she first disappeared, a beaten and bloodied Maria was found on the side of a road in Dubai with broken limbs and spine, Russian publications Shot and Life reported.

As the tabloid Mirror wrote, the Dubai police said in a statement that the 20-year-old model Maria suffered serious injuries after one entered a restricted construction site and fell from a height.

However, in a comment to SHOT, relatives of model Maria Kovalchuk called a fake the conclusions of the Dubai police that she allegedly fell from a height, which resulted in fractures of her arms, legs and spine.

The girl's relatives suggest that she may have suffered from sexual slavery.

"Porta potty" parties?

The media reported that the model could have participated in the "Porta potty" party, where wealthy men allegedly pay models large sums of money for participating in humiliating and shameful acts.

However, the local police denied these claims.

The tabloid Mirror wrote that the tragic incident involving Ukrainian OnlyFans model Maria Kovalchuk, 20, has drawn attention to a disturbing trend in Dubai called "Port Potty parties".

What is known about Maria Kovalchuk

The girl is from Lviv. She publishes candid photos in her social networks and has a page on OnlyFans.

In October 2024, Kovalchuk asked on the social network X how to visit Russia with a Ukrainian passport. Her friend, Russian model Angelina Doroshenko, asked a few months before that how to travel to Lviv with a Russian passport.

Shortly before the tragedy, Kovalchuk participated in a campaign to support imprisoned Russian sociologist Boris Kagarlitsky.
