157 combat engagements occurred at the front over the day of May 6 – General Staff

Over the past day, May 6, 157 combat engagements took place at the front. The enemy launched one missile strike using two missiles and 78 air strikes, dropping 256 guided aerial bombs. This was reported by UNN with reference to the General Staff of the AFU.

The Russians also deployed 9,317 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,696 shellings of settlements and positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, including 67 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).

The settlements of Tovstodubove and Holubivka in the Sumy region were hit by air strikes. At the same time, aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck nine areas of enemy manpower concentration, an artillery system, and another important enemy target.

Losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 890 people. Ukrainian troops neutralized six armored combat vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defense systems, four ground robotic systems, 1,851 unmanned aerial vehicles, 233 units of motor vehicles, and two units of special equipment of the enemy.

The situation in specific sectors of the front is as follows:

In the Pivnichno-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, over the past day, the aggressor launched six air strikes using 17 KABs (guided aerial bombs) and carried out 69 shellings of the positions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and settlements, including eight using MLRS. 

In the Pivdenno-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 17 times in the areas of Vovchansk, Starytsia, and towards Lyptsi, Lyman, Izbytske, Mala Vovcha, Symynivka, Zelene, and Vilcha.

In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked ten times, towards Kurylivka, Pishchane, Novoplatonivka, and in the areas of Borivska Andriivka, Radkivka, and Petropavlivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy tried to wedge into the Ukrainian defense 17 times, attacking in the areas of the settlements of Nadiia, Stavky, Yampil, and towards Lyman, Novoserhiivka, Ozerne, and Tverdokhlibove.

In the Sloviansk direction, the aggressor did not conduct assault operations.

In the Kramatorsk direction, no attacks by the occupiers were recorded.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Pleshchiivka, Stepanivka, and towards Kostiantynivka, Novopavlivka, Toretske, and Sofiivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 29 assault actions of the aggressor towards the settlements of Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Shevchenko, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Molodetske, and Novyi Donbas.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked twice, towards Verbove and Novohryhorivka.

In the Huliaipole direction, the occupiers carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Zlahoda, Dobropillia, Staroukrainka, Zelene, Rybne, and towards the settlements of Hirke, Huliaipilske, and Pryluky.

In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders stopped two attempts by the enemy to advance in the area of Shcherbaky.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy conducted two attacks towards Antonivka and Bilohrudyi Island.
