Zelenskyy proposed a meeting to Putin at the G7 with the participation of US and EU leaders. Russia ignored the proposal and showed no readiness for peace.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy offered Russian dictator Vladimir Putin a meeting at the G7, but "Russia has once again shown that it is not ready to talk about peace." The Head of State told journalists this during a visit to the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra following a nighttime enemy strike, UNN reports.
Before the start of the G7, honestly, we said that we were ready to meet with Putin at the G7, because Trump, Macron, Starmer, everyone, and Merz are there. Europeans and America—meaning a good opportunity for a joint meeting. Therefore, we could have invited the Russian side, and Europe and the US agreed. Russia has once again shown that they are not ready to talk about peace. That is why we must be ready to put more and more pressure on Putin until he ends the war
