He said that at the beginning of the full-scale aggression, military assistance from Ukrainian partners increased significantly. Ukraine received a lot of weapons and equipment, but along with this, the issue of its delivery and repair arose. That is why, according to Zaluzhnyi, in April 2022, a center was created to coordinate the supply of military assistance to Ukraine, which was based at the headquarters of the US European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.
After some time, this headquarters continued to work in Wiesbaden. According to Zaluzhnyi, in the summer of 2022, Ukrainian partners expressed doubts about the expediency of certain types of weapons and ammunition for the front in Ukraine.
Therefore, the military command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with partners, decided that they needed a joint operational headquarters that could assess the needs for weapons and equipment, based on operational planning.
Then we had the idea to create an operational headquarters based on logistics, which would analyze the planned operations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and, in accordance with NATO standards, form a need for them. Thanks to the support of Great Britain, this idea was successfully implemented. And Wiesbaden got a new breath
