President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with soldiers of the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Leonid Stupnytskyi, which is holding the defense in the Oleksandrivka direction at the junction of the Donetsk, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions, UNN reports with reference to the Office of the President.

At the command post of the 31st Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Major General Leonid Stupnytskyi, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, met with the unit's soldiers. The 31st SMB is conducting defensive operations in the Oleksandrivka direction, located at the junction of the Donetsk, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Oleksandr Syrskyi reported to the Head of State that despite the announced ceasefire, the enemy has not reduced its assault operations.
The President also heard a report from the brigade commander Ivan Shalamaha regarding the operational situation in the 31st SMB's defense zone, interaction with adjacent units performing counter-offensive actions in this direction and pushing the enemy back to the borders of the Dnipro region.
The Head of State thanked the defenders for their service and honored them with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III degree, and "For Courage," II–III degrees.

The President discussed with battalion and company commanders the specifics of foreigners' service in the brigade, their recruitment, training, and integration. They also spoke in detail about the development of the NRC (Unmanned Robotic Complexes) direction. Soldiers of the 31st SMB presented their own distributed logistics system using small, inexpensive ground drones, which allows for a reduction in material losses. Specifically, 60% of the unit's logistics are performed by drones.
