UN Security Council to meet today over Iran's attack on Israel

The UN Security Council will meet today to discuss Israel's call to condemn Iran's attacks and to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization.
Today, April 14, the UN Security Council will meet for a meeting initiated by Israel. Jerusalem will call on the UN Security Council to condemn Iran's attack on Israel and to declare the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) a terrorist organization, Reuters reports, UNN reports.
The meeting is reportedly scheduled to start at 16:00 Eastern Time (22:00 Kyiv time).
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations Gilad Erdan asked the Security Council to hold an emergency meeting in a letter sent on Saturday to the Council President.
"The Iranian attack constitutes a serious threat to global peace and security, and I expect the Council to use all means to take concrete action against Iran," Erdan wrote in a post on the X website.

Iran overnight launched 170 drones, 30 cruise missiles and 120 ballistic missiles at Israel. The IDF claims to have shot down 99% of the targets and is already opening airspace.
Thirty-one people have sought medical assistance, the press service of the Israeli ambulance service reported.
